“I was born in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Visited Banaras, the holy city through which the River Ganges flows. I took a boat ride through the Ganges.”

From Agricultural Roots to Caribbean Horizons: My PhD Story

“I was a graduate student at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad. I received a PhD in Soil Chemistry.

I graduated from Agricultural college in Bapatla in South India. Received BSc degree.

Living in Trinidad in early 70s, I did PhD in Soil Chemistry at the University of the West Indies at St Augustine campus in Trinidad. I enjoyed steel band music and annual carnival while living in Trinidad.”

From Jamaica to Iowa: A Career in Soil Science and Environmental Stewardship

I worked as a Soil Scientist at Sugar Industry Research Institute in Mandeville for over 7 years. During this period I worked on several soil types around Jamaica. I published several research papers. I have a great appreciation for Rastafarian religion originated in Jamaica.

Lived in Sioux City in Iowa for 25 years. While living in Iowa, I worked for a corporation as an Environmental Scientist dealing with many issues related to pollution control. Over a span of 20 years, worked on several projects in over 50 towns and cities in over 15 states in US.”

“In town of Visakhapatnum, on the south eastern of India where I was born, Eastern Ghats mountain range ends up in Ocean. The mountain resemble Dolphin Nose, hence Dolph Nose mountain. I published a story book entitled ‘Dolphin Nose.’

I feel happy when I finish a short story”

“After retirement, I lived 6 months on the Big Island in Hawaii. I lived in a small cabin on an organic farm with no power in a small town named Pahoa on the east end of the island. During this period, I wrote and published a book entitled ‘From Donkeys Mouth‘.

Retired and now living in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Spend my time writing short stories.”
